Hi All, 

There will be some changes to our traffic light/ disciplinary system effective 1st January 2019. 

Currently, if you receive a traffic light due to an issue with performance/punctuality a 10% reduction is also applied to any sales bonus earned. 

From 1st January, whilst the traffic light system will continue in the usual manner, there will be no financial penalty when a traffic light is issued. 

As you know, traffic lights stay on file for 3 months from the date issued. Receiving a traffic light is not formal discipline. It is simply an indication that there is or has been an issue with performance/punctuality that should be addressed. For example, a traffic light would be issued if there are latenesses on a staff members' attendance records in a month. 

If issues with performance/punctuality lead to formal discipline (a verbal or written warning), then a minimum of 25% bonus reduction will be applied. The % would be at management discretion. 

As we continue to work hard and follow company principles and procedures, hopefully we will all be able to pull in the same direction and will avoid any kind of disciplinary matters.
